No, granting access to your Google Drive is not the only way to use PDFnamer. While connecting your Google Drive account allows for seamless automatic renaming in a selected folder, we understand that some users prefer not to grant such access. For those users, we offer alternative methods: • Manual Upload: You can manually upload PDFs through our website for processing. • Email Forwarding: Forward your PDFs via email, and PDFnamer will rename the files and store them in a shared Google Drive folder or send them back to you.
You have full control over the file naming template in PDFnamer. You can define templates using dynamic placeholders enclosed in brackets, like [YYMMDD]_[Sender]_[Topic]. Additionally, you can use "micro-prompts" to specify exactly what information to extract, such as [InvoiceDate formatted as YYMMDD]_[Sender or Creator]_[Summary in 3 words]. This flexibility allows you to tailor the file names to your specific organizational needs.
